Frederick William Liquorish was born on 23 March 1882 in Uppingham. He and Maud Woofenden were married on 30 April 1913 in St James Parish Church, Belgrave. He died on 15 October 1918, at age 36, in Pomeringe, France. Frederick William Liquorish experienced Military service The War Graves Commision has a F W Liquorish Pte 44745 20th Bat Durham Light Infantry died 15th Oct 1918 at Poperinge. He was husband of Maud Liquorish and lived at "Penarol" Roman Road, New Birstall, Leicester. He was baptised on 7 September 1890 in St Peters, Uppingham, Rutland. He appeared in the census in 1911 in Front Street, Birstall, Leicester, shows Frederick with brother Alfred. He experienced Military service in 1916 Is mentioned in book Rutland and The Great War published by J Padfield Co in Salford Manchester in 1920. He served in the Durham Ligh Infantry as a Groom joining on 28/6/1916 went to France on 27 July 1916 on 15/10/1918 died of machine gun firs and is buried at Pomeringe France. Left widow and child who reside in Roma Road Birstall Leicester.
