Biography

Thomas Lickorish was born in June 1849 in Birdingbury, Warwick. He witnessed the marriage of William Lickorish and Elizabeth Pitman on 14 October 1868. Thomas Lickorish and Elizabeth Anne Aubrey were married on 18 October 1870 in Leamington Hastings. He died in 1924, at age ~75, in Southam (St Caths.)

He appeared in the census in 1911 in Post Office Lane, Stockton, Rugby, shows Thomas aged 61 a Sack Sorter married for 39 years no children. Wife Ann Elizabeth aged 62. Also at home William Joseph Aubrey aged 23 a wagoner nephew, and Thomas Foster aged 67 widower a labourer lodging. They had four rooms.

John Lickorish was baptised on 15 October 1859 in Hill. He was a Police Constable. on 5 August 1879. He appeared in the census in 1881 for Top Road, Lighthorne, Warwick there is a John Lickorish, Boarder who is a Police Constable, aged 21 born in stockton. Have contacted Warwick Police and confirmed details warrant Number 1309. He appeared in the census in 1901 in Nottingham, Nottingham, with sons Albert, 15, Railway Telegraph clerk, Charles 17 apprentice carpenter, Elizabeth 6 and wife Martha 42. John is a Railway Signalman. He appeared in the census in 1911 in The Hollies, Moore Road, Mapperley, Nottinghamshire, shows John aged 51 a Railway signalman with the Midland Railway, married for 29 years to wife Martha aged 52 have four children. At home is Elizabeth Ann aged 16 a student. They have 6 rooms. He appeared in the Psgr List on 16 July 1927 Arrived at Qubec having sailed from Liverpool aboard the Doric travelled with daughter Elizabeth. He appeared in the Psgr List on 28 August 1927 John and his daughter Elizabeth are shown as arriving at Liverpool having sailed from Montreal, Quebec, Canada abord SS Doris. He is retired and she a Teacher they give address as The Hollies, Moore Road, Nottingham. He made a will in 1932 which shows probate to Charles Henry (son) a joiner and John Sidney (son) a railway telegaphist. Effects £938-1s-6d.

Biography

William Lickorish was born on 14 April 1865 in Leamington Hastings, Warwick. He and Sarah Jane Walker were married on 24 December 1890 in Horncastle, Lincoln. He died in 1942, at age ~77, in Horncastle. He was buried in 1942 in Old Grave Yard, Stixwould Road, Woodall Spa, Lincolnshire.
William Lickorish made a will which shows him as late of 7 Alexandra Terrace, Woodhall-Spa, Lincs Probate to Mabel Alice Winter (daughter) and Dorothy Ann Lickorish (daughter spinster) effects £452-9-7d. William lived at Hickston Cottages Woodhall Spa Lincs later called 7, Alexander Terrace. His wife sarah Jane Ingoldmells could have been babtised Jane Walker as she was born to aristocracy out of wedlock and looked after by a woman whose surname was Ingoldmells. But she married in the name of Sarah Jane Walker. The grave is sited in the yard, enter via the Stixwould Road gate walk towards large tree in front of you. At tree using the face of a clock walk towards 2 oclock and you will see Williams grave. His wife is buried with him and his daughter Edith Mary is along side. He was baptised on 21 May 1865 in Kytes Hardwick. He appeared in the census in 1881 Leamington Hastings as Stable boy aged 15 yrs, living with parents. He appeared in the census in 1911 in Hicksons Cottages, Witham Road, Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, shows William aged 45, Bath Attendant, Married 20 years, 8 children 7 surviving. Wife Sarah Jane aged 44, James Edward aged 17, Dorothy aged 12, Amy aged 9, Ethel aged 8 and Thomas aged 4. They had 5 rooms.

She appeared in the census in 1911 in Ormonde Lodge, Southborough, Tunbridge Wells., Shows Ann aged 44 Single and cook for Frances Katherine Hope 64 single. Ann is one of 6 servants living in. Had 23 rooms.

Thomas Lickorish was born on 1 October 1868 in Leamington Hastings, Warwick. He and Lucy Smith were married on 16 October 1900 in Leamington Hastings. He died Sept Qtr 1929 Guisboro aged 60. He was buried on 15 August 1929 in St Andrew, Upleatham, North Yorkshire.
Lived in The Row, Broadwell. Was a hedger and ditcher finally residing in the Alms Houses at Leamington Hastings. When he married he was bachelor but Lucy was a widow aged 47, witness Joseph Lickorish. Thomas Lickorish was a Hedger and Ditcher. He was baptised on 29 November 1868 in Kytes Hardwick. He appeared in the census in 1881 shows him as farm boy aged 12 yrs. He appeared in the census in 1901 with father Jonathan and wife Lucy. He appeared in the census in 1911 in Upleatham shows Thomas aged 42 a Widower, a Hedge Cutter on a farm. He is a boarder with George William Wood a horseman on a farm and his family. They have 5 rooms.
